Seasons Greetings!
As I have told many of you during this last Summer, Charlie Brown has the best job - flying BM597, and I have the second best job - meeting all of you, and talking about your connections with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. I have also had the privilege of talking to many others with equally remarkable tales of their adventures in other aircraft during WWII.
Now that the flying has stopped for this season, it has given me time to reflect on these often eye opening stories, and recall these wonderful people with their quiet modesty, talking to me on the grass airfield at Pent Farm. It would only be a matter of adding a pint of Spitfire to this scene to make it perfection personified!
How I enjoyed our conversations, and how much admiration I hold for all those I have talked to - thank you for sharing your experiences with me.
In appreciation of and as a gesture of thanks to past serving aircrew we would like to offer you the following for the next (2012) flying season.

2011 Prices Due to fuel cost and VAT increases, we will need to increase our prices in 2011, but we will hold our 2010 prices until the end of January. When you book a ticket now it will be valid until November 1st, 2011, after the price increase.

First new dates for 2011 Saturday, March 5th 2011 - we are celebrating the first flight of K5054 - Supermarine Type 300, later named Spitfire. Book now to fly in this auspicious day - a great way to start off our new flying season! Thursday, September 15th is Battle of Britain Day - the 71st Anniversary of this landmark day. This year we flew 60 people on the day, and in 2011 we expect many more - we are already taking bookings, so call 01227 721929 to secure your Flight with a Spitfire (and possibly a Hurricane!) Group Flights
