Cancellation Terms


Our policy is to operate our tours with a complete commitment to the satisfaction of our customers. When a tour is booked, we are committed to you our customer, and by the same token, you are also committing  to show up on the day of your tour,at least 15 minutes before the tour start time.

Reasons for cancellation  - by Action Stations!
For a tour to take place we are dependant on both the weather, and the mechanical serviceability of both the aircraft we are viewing, and using. The technology of the Spitfire goes back almost 80 years, and whilst the maintenance programme is of the highest order – we have to expect the unexpected!

Weather permitting
Regarding the weather, please contact us the day before your tour, to check that we are able to fly the following day. We will also try and contact you to let you know if we have to cancel or postpone the tour due to adverse weather conditions that we sometimes have to deal with – especially at this coastal location.

Mechanical failure
Should the aircraft we contract become unserviceable on the day, we will always try to have a suitable back up. It may be that due to the limited availability of Spitfires, we have to substitute with an alternative  - for example Hurricane/ Mustang/ Kittyhawk.   
We will always offer you the choice of either taking the tour on the day, or another suitable date, when we are confident that a Spitfire will be available.

If we have to postpone a tour for the above reasons, or due to other unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you at the earliest opportunity, and offer you suitable alternative dates. If you are unwilling to take an alternative and cancel your booking,
we will refund  your fee – less a 10% administration charge.

Payment penalties

We contract both the flight of the Spitfire, and our helicopter passenger service, and therefore we are bound to pay for these – if you show up – or don’t.
Therefore, we have to have stringent cancellation penalties to cover these circumstances  - payment charges therefore are as follows.  

10% of total charter price due if flight is cancelled having received written confirmation of booking
25% of total charter price is due if flight is cancelled between 7 days and 48 hours prior to scheduled time of departure
50% of total charter price due if flight is cancelled less than 48 hours prior to scheduled time of departure
100% of total charter price is due if no notice is received or part of the program has commenced
